Using i-Ready for Academic Intervention
No One-Size-Fits-All Solution
As an educational partner to thousands of districts across the United States, Curriculum Associates knows that RTI/MTSS models differ from state to state and even from district to district. i-Ready is a flexible tool that educators use to customize reading and mathematics intervention based on the academic needs of their students.
To meet the needs of the students and the districts we serve, we have developed a range of assessment and instructional programs to support the intervention efforts of our educator partners.
i-Ready received high ratings in reading and mathematics intervention from the National Center on Intensive Intervention (NCII) in all three categories that NCII reviews: Academic Screening, Academic Progress Monitoring, and Academic Intervention.
- Screening: i-Ready Diagnostic screens for academic concepts that can help determine eligibility for all three tiers of instruction. Student reports include percentile ranks and grade-level placements to provide a profile of student needs that includes specific information about what matters most.
- Instruction and Planning: High-quality instructional resources help students learn and grow by supporting access to grade-level materials. With insights from the assessment, teachers can easily determine priority domains and leverage the best instructional tools for targeted, standards-based teaching.
- Progress Monitoring: Progress monitoring options allow educators to customize interventions and evaluate student progress.
