i-Ready Assessment Updates
NEW July 2026
- i-Ready Inform is the new name for the adaptive assessment for Reading and Mathematics in school year 2026–2027—the same valid, reliable assessment, now with a new name.
- Help students get back to instruction faster with a shorter i-Ready Inform experience in 2026–2027, featuring fewer items and breaks while maintaining the accuracy educators rely on. The shortened version may not be immediately available for all state uses.
- Literacy Profile reports bring together i-Ready Inform and i-Ready Literacy Tasks data in one view at the class, school, and district level for Grades K–6, helping educators more quickly compare performance on key literacy skills.
- Plan for grade-level Algebra 1 instruction across Grades 6–12 with an expanded Grade-Level Planning (Prerequisites) report that now groups students from mixed-grade classes side by side.
- Plan for advanced math instruction with a Grade-Level Planning (Prerequisites) report that now supports up to two grade levels above a student's chronological grade, including mixed-grade classes grouped side by side.
- Plan for grade-level Algebra 1 instruction for Grade 8 students with a new Algebra 1 experience in the Grade-Level Planning (Prerequisites) report.
- Quickly understand and share a student's English literacy performance with the Student Literacy Profile, a comprehensive report that combines data from i-Ready Literacy Tasks and i-Ready's adaptive assessment.
- Provide students in Grades 6+ with greater visibility into their performance with domain-level assessment results viewable in i-Ready Pro.
- Deliver an improved assessment experience to students in Grades 6+ with a refreshed intro, optional Brain Breaks, and clearer visibility into performance in i-Ready Pro.

- Literacy Profile reports bring together i-Ready Inform (formerly i-Ready Diagnostic) and i-Ready Literacy Tasks data in one view at the class, school, and district level for Grades K–6, helping educators more quickly compare performance on key literacy skills.
- Quickly understand and share a student's literacy performance with the Student Literacy Profile, a comprehensive report that combines data from i-Ready Literacy Tasks and i-Ready's adaptive assessment.
- View assigned tasks and results more easily with a new way to find, filter, and sort Literacy Tasks benchmark assignments by population.
- Spend less time creating benchmark assignments by using the new Literacy Tasks assignment cart to create multiple assignments at once.
- Assign Literacy Tasks more efficiently by assigning benchmark tasks to an entire grade across multiple schools (school/district administrators only).
- Administer tasks with greater ease and confidence using i-Ready Literacy Tasks Teacher Forms redesigned for a better experience.
- Administer Literacy Tasks efficiently with digital markup and automatic scoring—now available for all i-Ready Inform (formerly i-Ready Diagnostic) for Reading customers.

- Identify students who may have rushed through i-Ready Inform de lectura with yellow Rush flags now available for Spanish Reading assessments in Grades K–6, visible in reports and exports.
- Access i-Ready Inform de lectura results for your school or district in one consolidated report.
- Share i-Ready Inform de lectura insights with families using the For Families in the Reports menu.
- Save testing time by configuring Assessment Access settings to manage student access to i-Ready Inform de lectura directly via the “Reading Spanish” subject.
- Provide caregivers direct access to i-Ready Inform de lectura insights through the student dashboard, alongside other For Families reports. Available only in districts where this feature is enabled.

- Maximize summer learning time with targeted Mathematic lessons using the Summer Learning Lesson Playlist, available now for Grades K–5.
- View Personalized Instruction Summary data at the district or school level in i-Ready Pro for Mathematics.
- Celebrate student progress for Grades 6+ as students redeem earned XP (i.e., Experience Points) to personalize their i-Ready Pro student dashboard with customizable color themes.
- Gain deeper visibility into lesson performance in Mathematics for students in Grades 6+ using i-Ready Pro, with an enhanced Personalized Instruction Summary (Student) report, now including percentage of lessons passed, student progress, and skill-level details.
- Celebrate student progress for Grades 6+ as students redeem earned XP to unlock customizable profile icon rewards in the i-Ready Pro student dashboard.
