District Uses the Right Data to Close the Achievement Gap

“For many years, Everett Public Schools has consistently outperformed the state average on the Smarter Balanced Assessment. In 2018, overall proficiency ranged from 55% to 75%, with achievement gaps for some student populations hidden among copious amounts of data. Examining patterns in multiple measures over time, the district turned to i-Ready Assessment to pinpoint student achievement gaps and to i-Ready Personalized Instruction to further ensure that students are on grade level or on track to getting there.”
