About Adriana Garcia

Adriana Garcia is a Grade 5 English language arts teacher at Somerset Academy St. Lucie in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She attended Indian River State College and graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s in elementary education. She has taught a variety of subjects for Grades 3–5 for five years at Somerset Academy. She has a variety of endorsements and has taken professional learning classes to deepen her knowledge. Adriana is involved with many programs and activities at her school and has helped create some, including the school’s Odyssey of the Mind team and competition Book Club. Her own Grade 5 teacher was her motivation to become an educator, and she strives every day to be that same inspiration for her students. Adriana believes strongly in creating an engaging, inclusive classroom environment for all, meeting students where they are, and raising the bar for them to reach their potential.
