
Dr. Juliette de Wolfe is a National Literacy Consultant at Curriculum Associates®. She was on the teaching faculty at Relay Graduate School of Education and Director of the Relay special education program for eight years. She also taught at Teachers College, Columbia University, in the Anthropology and Education program, and at The City College of New York, in the special education program. In addition to academia, Juliette taught as a special education teacher in elementary schools in Virginia. She earned a B.A. in Anthropology and an M.Ed. in Special Education from George Mason University and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Anthropology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her doctoral research focused on the experiences of parents of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, and her dissertation won the Dissertation Award from the Council on Anthropology and Education and was subsequently published as a manuscript entitled Parents of Children with Autism: An Ethnography.
