About Joanna Goldberg

Joanna Goldberg is in her 17th year of teaching and her 13th year in Cicero District 99 in Illinois, where she has taught second and third grade. Before joining Cicero, she taught Spanish, kindergarten, and served as an ESL resource teacher. She holds an undergraduate degree in elementary education with a Spanish minor from Indiana University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with an ESL endorsement from Concordia University in River Forest. Joanna’s passion for teaching began early, inspired by the joy of helping children learn and the moments when students truly grasp new concepts. She continues to pursue professional growth through courses and collaboration with instructional coaches and is committed to meeting the diverse needs of her students through ongoing reflection and innovation.
