About Erin Embon
With 34 years of experience in public education, Erin Embon is a lifelong educator and passionate advocate for research-based literacy instruction. She began her career as a high school math teacher, later serving as a supervisor, a middle school principal, and currently, as the director of curriculum and instruction at Wall Township Public Schools. Across every role, Embon has remained committed to ensuring that all students, especially those in the upper-elementary grades, have access to high-quality, evidence-aligned literacy instruction. A proud mom of three adult children, she brings both heart and expertise to her work. She believes that every child can learn to read and that it is our responsibility as educators to make that happen. Her leadership is rooted in experience, driven by data, and guided by a deep respect for teachers and the critical role they play in shaping young readers.
