About Shannon Allison
Shannon Allison is a first grade teacher at Mead Elementary School in Ansonia, Connecticut and has been there for six years. She has worked in CT public schools for 11 years, previously teaching in Shelton and Bridgeport. Shannon attended UConn for her undergrad in English and completed her master’s in education at Southern Connecticut State University. From an early age, Shannon was impacted by the kindness and safety of her elementary school and teachers. This inspired her to pursue teaching in hopes of providing a safe and engaging environment for more generations of students to learn and grow. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys party planning for friends and family, creating digital downloads and printables to sell online, cooking, collecting vintage glass cookware, enjoying good food with her boyfriend of 23 years, Greg, and spending time with her Tibetan Mastiff Theodore Ronnie (TRo).
