Dr. Julia Stearns Cloat, with more than 30 years of experience in education, has a diverse background as an elementary teacher, reading specialist, and administrator at both the building and district levels. She is an adjunct professor and coauthor of Teaching Reading in Spanish: A Linguistically Authentic Framework for Emerging Multilinguals, specializing in cross-linguistic transfer, English foundational skills, and program implementation. As cofounder of Via Educational Consulting, she helps shape effective literacy strategies for Multilingual Learners.
