Phonics Intervention That Works It’s Never Too Late to Crack the Code

PHONICS for Reading Intervention Program

Data confirms what we have known all along: students who progress beyond Grade 3 with a deficit in decoding continue to struggle in English language arts for the remainder of their school careers.*

Take action to address this reality with PHONICS for Reading, a research-based reading intervention program designed for students in Grades 3–12. Authored by a team of researchers led by the nationally recognized Dr. Anita Archer, PHONICS for Reading provides a lifeline to learners who are struggling to read by equipping them with the tools necessary to become independent readers. Highlights of the program include:

  • Content and illustrations that are developmentally appropriate for teaching phonics to older students
  • Routine-based and explicit phonics instruction that addresses decoding skills gaps
  • A Teacher Guide that includes guidance and predictability, making the program simple to implement
  • A direct tie to iReady Assessment data that enables educators to identify and tailor their phonics instruction to struggling readers
