About Sandra Brown
Sandra Brown is a reading coach for Grades K–8 teachers in the School District of Philadelphia. Originally from Jamaica, Sandra has been an educator for 26 years in urban settings. She has served as dean of students, English language arts teacher leader, mathematics academic teacher leader, and the schoolwide professional learning presenter. In this position, she analyzes data, creates assessments to drive instruction, and provides best practices to teachers to achieve student success. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Penn State, her master’s in educational leadership from Cheyney University, and her master’s in reading certification from Holy Family University.
