About Rebecca Brenneman

Rebecca Brenneman is a math teacher at Northern Garrett Middle School in Accident, Maryland and an Extraordinary Educator for Curriculum Associates, Class of 2024. Rebecca grew up, raised two daughters, and worked in the same Garrett County communities in which her students resided. Rebecca’s 37-year career began in Grade 6 English language arts but slowly morphed into full-time math, first in Grade 6 and currently in Grade 7. As a team leader, mentor, and department chair, Rebecca’s expectations are high, and her students strive to meet them. She believes in the power of productive struggle and uses innovative strategies to put student achievement first. When she’s not teaching or tutoring, Rebecca loves being a grandmother. She holds a B.S. in Education from Frostburg State University and an M.Ed. from the University of Maryland.
