The Arc of Arithmetic to Algebra

Overview

Teachers know that establishing a strong foundation facilitates students’ ability to improve. But what happens when there are gaps in that foundational understanding? In this webinar, we use hands-on examples to illustrate the development of number sense and algebraic thinking. Understanding that students may have unfinished learning in certain areas, we identify some essential mathematics principles students should aim to master in each grade level. You will learn valuable methods of teaching mathematical concepts and how to close gaps in comprehension by utilizing resources found on the Teacher Toolbox.
