While students who are falling behind in a typical school year often get extra help and show greater growth, the pandemic resulted in many struggling students falling even further behind. This research study examines how the effects of COVID-19 learning impacted student growth. What are the differences in student outcomes in pre-pandemic cohorts versus after? We examine factors such as initial grade-level placement, student demographics, and learning environment.
