While students who are falling behind in a typical school year often get extra help and show greater growth, the pandemic resulted in many students falling even further behind. This research study examines how the effects of COVID-19 impacted student growth. What are the differences in student outcomes in pre-pandemic cohorts versus after? We examine factors such as initial grade-level placement, student demographics, and learning environment.
