i-Ready Stretch Growth® in the Pandemic Context

This research examined the percentage of students who met Stretch Growth and evaluated whether meeting Stretch Growth over consecutive years put students on a path to grade-level proficiency. This study provides the first validity evidence of i-Ready's Stretch Growth on a sample of students who tested after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it compares the results to those from our pre-pandemic sample.

Logan Rome is a senior research scientist at Curriculum Associates. He leads a team of researchers focused on linking i-Ready Diagnostic with state summative assessments, studying student engagement on i-Ready Diagnostic, and understanding student usage of i-Ready Personalized Instruction. Logan holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Educational Statistics and Measurement from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee.
