Build a Pathway to Adulthood for Exceptional Learners

Integrated Tools to Identify and Develop Skills for Postsecondary Success

Providing a great transition plan for every learner takes a village. Our new editions of the BRIGANCE Transition Skills Inventory 2 (TSI 2) and Transition Skills Activities 2 (TSA 2) put each student’s goals and interests at the forefront of their transition planning while gathering perspectives from caregivers and educators.

The TSI 2 and TSA 2 are designed to help special educators meet the IDEA requirements for transition services. When used together, the programs provide a comprehensive set of tools to identify and develop skills students will need to thrive as adults in their personal lives, workplaces, and communities.

Build a Transition Roadmap

Transition Skills Inventory 2 and Record Book

The TSI 2 is a collection of assessments designed to identify each student’s unique transition goals and monitor progress toward these goals. The inventory consists of more than 100 assessments to support formal transition planning for middle and high school students as they prepare for life after high school.

Use the TSI 2 to pinpoint Present Level of Performance and to write goals for transition planning. Use the TSI 2 Record Book to record a student’s performance.

Develop the Skills Students Need to Thrive

Transition Skills Activities 2

The TSA 2 consists of 180 activities linked to select assessments found in the TSI 2. Activities offer modifications to fit diverse interests and ability levels.

Accessible from a Digital Resource Library, the TSA 2 enables educators to easily find the activities that best fit each student’s needs.

A Comprehensive Set of Tools to Support Student Transitions

The TSI 2 can be used as an ongoing assessment tool in conjuction with the TSA 2.

Start by using the TSI 2 assessments to develop instructional objectives for each student. Then, help students develop the skills they need to meet their objectives using the lesson plans and activities in the TSA 2 and continue to evaluate progress through ongoing assessment with the TSI 2.
