United ISD’s vision for academic excellence includes a strong emphasis on early reading. In 2022, the district set its sights on enhancing foundational skills for its youngest learners, implementing Magnetic Foundations in Grades K–2 with remarkable results. From 2022 to 2024, the district saw an increase of four percentage points in their Grade 3 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) reading language arts (RLA) scores.
