Cincinnati Is a National Leader in Mathematics Recovery

Overview

Students Far Outpace Average Math Achievement

A 2024 study of 8,000 school districts across 30 states found that, by spring 2023, students recovered around one-third of the mathematics achievement lost due to the pandemic. Cincinnati students are far outpacing this average. Between spring 2022 and spring 2023, they improved by nearly three-quarters of a grade-level equivalent relative to the 2019 average.
