About Martha S. Butler

Martha S. Butler, Ed.D. has been a literacy coach and a teaching career that spans 25 years. Her first 21 years were served in Garnet Valley School District at Garnet Valley Middle School in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, teaching language arts in Grades 7 and 8. During this time, Martha became a Pennsylvania Writing and Literature Project Fellow in the West Chester Writing Project. She earned her doctorate at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, and it focused on mentoring novice teachers. In 2019, she decided to become a literacy coach at Warner Elementary for Grades 3–5 in the Red Clay Consolidated School District in Wilmington, Delaware. She continues to attend professional learning training and educational conferences to enhance her knowledge to be the best coach and educator she can be.
