About Kat Martinez-Perry

Kat Martinez-Perry serves as a secondary English Language Arts/Reading (ELAR) instructional specialist for Northeast ISD in San Antonio, Texas. She started her career in education through Teach for America in the Mississippi Delta, teaching pre-K through Grade 7 reading interventions. She returned home to San Antonio after her service and earned her master’s in literacy education at the University of Texas at San Antonio and served as a Grade 8 ELAR classroom teacher and instructional coach before assuming the role of secondary ELAR instructional specialist in Northeast ISD.
