About Heidi McKnight

Heidi McKnight is the reading specialist at Kenilworth Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Northwest University and received her master’s in education from Arizona State University. As a classroom teacher for more than 10 years, Heidi has been reaching, empowering, educating, and advocating for youth and marginalized populations, not only in her local community but also around the globe. Her tireless efforts have been instrumental in driving positive change for diverse populations and making a lasting impact on those she serves. Her work outside the classroom is also a testament to her passion and dedication, having been a catalyst for change through youth outreach, family support and education, and anti-human trafficking advocacy in Mumbai, India and Phoenix, Arizona. She is a member of Kiwanis International and serves as a part of a large network that helps recruit, educate, and support foster and adoptive families across Arizona. Heidi is unyielding in her efforts to see individuals, especially children and communities, thrive.
