About Emily Kahler
Emily Kahler is a Grade 4 English language arts and social studies teacher at Warner Elementary in Red Clay Consolidated School District in Wilmington, Delaware. Early in her childhood, Emily was inspired to become a teacher by her Grade 3 teacher, and she pursued her dream by high school by attending her local teacher’s preparatory program through dual enrollment. Upon graduation, Emily moved to Maine to begin her teaching career. She taught all subjects at a Title I rural elementary school. She contributed to curriculum development, new teacher mentoring, and technology implementation committees while achieving proficient student scores for district math and ELA goals. Emily’s passion for STEM led her to her current position. As a full-time elementary teacher and mother, she works tirelessly to implement and create engaging content for her students to motivate student mastery of grade-level standards while making it applicable to the real world. Emily holds a B.S.E. from Millersville University in middle-level education and is currently working on her master's in instructional technology at Wilkes University.
