North Billerica, MA, September 12, 2018
The Boston Business Journal announced that Curriculum Associates has been named to its 2018 Top Charitable Contributors List for the third consecutive year.
“This year’s Corporate Charitable Contributors list is the largest—and, because of that, the most impressive—the Boston Business Journal has ever assembled,” said Carolyn Jones, Boston Business Journal Market President and Publisher. “It’s incredible to think that our list, which we’ve been publishing for 13 years now, has now grown to 100 companies that give back at least $100,000 to the local community.”
The Boston Business Journal named a record 100 companies that paid out at least $100,000 to Massachusetts-based charities in 2017 to its 2018 Top Charitable Contributors List. The region’s top charitable contributors, which in many instances include corporations and their charitable foundations, were honored at the Boston Business Journal’s 13th Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards on Sept. 6 at Fenway Park in Boston.
Curriculum Associates is a deeply philanthropic company with a founding commitment to improving the world of education. Its nearly 50-year dedication to long-term thinking has driven remarkable growth, resulting in the company quintupling in size since 2012. A company committed to serving classrooms and the community in which it operates, Curriculum Associates creates world-class instructional and assessment materials that help students and teachers succeed. Today, the company is leading the adoption of print and digital curriculum for more than 15 percent of all K–8 students nationwide, serving more than 7 million students and 300,000 educators across all 50 states.
“A focus on giving has always been part of our corporate DNA at Curriculum Associates—not only to the students and educators we serve, but also to the greater Boston area,” said Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates. “We are honored to once again be recognized on the Boston Business Journal’s Top Charitable Contributors List and look forward to continuing our local and national community support.”
Besides awarding top local corporate benefactors, the Boston Business Journal’s Corporate Citizenship Awards program also recognized its annual CEO Social Leadership Award as well as the partnerships between for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
