About Jonathan Kryk

Jonathan Kryk (aka Mr. J.) is a Grade 5 English language arts and social studies teacher at Challenger K–8 in Spring Hill, FL. He also proudly serves as the schoolwide positive behavioral interventions and supports coach to promote positive behavior and advocate for students’ diverse needs. Due to his and his team’s endless efforts, Kryk’s school was identified as a Platinum-Level Model School for the 2021–2022 school year. He has taught at Challenger K–8 since he received his B.S. in Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education from the University of South Florida in 2019. He was motivated to become a teacher after serving as an assistant youth development director at his local YMCA and realizing his passion for creating positive relationships with students. In his free time, he enjoys traveling around the world and playing with Louis, his overactive Goldendoodle.
