Curriculum Associates’ Programs Approved as High-Quality Instructional Materials by the Texas State Board of Education

Curriculum Associates today announced that several of its flagship programs have been officially approved by the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) as high-quality instructional materials for use across the state. This approval allows Curriculum Associates to support more Texas educators with rigorous, research-based programs that align closely with the state’s academic expectations.

The Texas adoption process requires all submitted instructional materials to undergo a comprehensive review against the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS), and the state’s high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) rubrics. Programs must demonstrate strong alignment to the TEKS, incorporate evidence-based instructional design, provide appropriate scaffolds for all learners, and include assessments and teacher supports that enable effective, data-informed instruction. Only materials that meet Texas Education Agency and SBOE requirements for quality, accessibility, usability, and cultural and linguistic relevance earn a place on the state’s approved list.

The newly approved Curriculum Associates materials include:

• i-Ready Classroom Mathematics: Core mathematics for Grades K–Algebra 1
• Ready Texas Mathematics: Supplemental mathematics for Grades K–8
• Magnetic Foundations: English foundational literacy skills for Grades K–2
• Mosaico: Fundamentos por i-Ready: Spanish foundational literacy skills for Grades K–2
