How is using i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity associated with state test performance?
In Rhode Island, across all Grades 3–8 in both reading and mathematics, students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity demonstrated higher state test scores and were more likely to be proficient than students who did not use i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity.
To understand the association between the use of i-Ready Personalized Instruction and performance on the Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System (RICAS), Curriculum Associates evaluated RICAS scores and proficiency levels for 22,923 students in Grades 3–8 across 16 school districts. These analyses examined the difference in state scores and proficiency rates between students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity and students using the program less consistently, accounting for fall performance.
