How is using i-Ready with fidelity associated with state test performance?

In Maryland, for reading, students who used i-Ready with fidelity demonstrated higher state test scores for all grades and were more likely to be proficient in most grades. For mathematics, fidelity users showed higher state test scores and were more likely to be proficient in most grades.

To understand the association between the use of i-Ready and performance on the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP), Curriculum Associates evaluated MCAP scores and proficiency levels for 41,973 students in Grades 3–8 across seven school districts. These analyses examined the difference in state scores and proficiency rates between students who used i-Ready with fidelity and students using the program less consistently, accounting for fall performance.
