How is using i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity associated with state test performance?

In Massachusetts, for reading, students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity demonstrated higher state test scores and were more likely to be proficient in most grades. For mathematics, students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity users showed higher state test scores for all grades and were more likely to be proficient in most grades.

To understand the association between the use of i-Ready Personalized Instruction and performance on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS), Curriculum Associates evaluated MCAS scores and proficiency levels for 13,928 students in Grades 3–8 across 14 school districts. These analyses examined the difference in state scores and proficiency rates between students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity and students using the program less consistently, accounting for fall performance.
