How is using i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity associated with state test performance?
In Illinois, in both reading and mathematics, students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity demonstrated higher state test scores in all grades and were more likely to be proficient in most grades than students who did not use i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity.
To understand the association between the use of i-Ready Personalized Instruction and performance on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), Curriculum Associates evaluated IAR scores and proficiency levels for 18,642 students in Grades 3–8 across 11 school districts. These analyses examined the difference in state scores and proficiency rates between students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction with fidelity and students using the program less consistently, accounting for fall performance.
