NORTH BILLERICA, MA, January 14, 2014—Massachusetts-based educational publisher Curriculum Associates has promoted Katie Nicholson to Vice President of Online Assessment. In this role, Nicholson will drive the strategic direction and oversight of the award-winning i-Ready® online assessment program, including its adaptive Diagnostic, progress monitoring assessments, and future assessment offerings. Nicholson will additionally lead all of the company's research and efficacy studies.

“We are constantly working to provide schools and districts with the highest-quality, research-based products to help drive student success, especially in today's education environment that is so demanding on educators,” said Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates. “Katie's proven track record, leadership, and deep background in assessment will be a major asset in this new role and to our company's continued growth and success.”

Nicholson joined Curriculum Associates in 2009 as Director of BRIGANCE® products, a long-standing and trusted family of special education and early childhood assessment, screening, and instructional tools for students.
