Her career spans roles as a school psychologist, teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. She is an adjunct professor and coauthor of Teaching Reading in Spanish: A Linguistically Authentic Framework for Emerging Multilinguals. She cofounded Via Educational Consulting, specializing in cross-linguistic transfer, Spanish foundational skills, and program execution.
Dr. Julia Stearns Cloat
Dr. Julia Stearns Cloat, with more than 30 years of experience in education, has a diverse background as an elementary teacher, reading specialist, and administrator at both building and district levels. She is an adjunct professor and coauthor of Teaching Reading in Spanish: A Linguistically Authentic Framework for Emerging Multilinguals, specializing in cross-linguistic transfer, English foundational skills, and program implementation.
