Impact Spotlight: School District of Indian River County, FL

Dr. David K. Moore, Superintendent of the School District of Indian River County and the 2025 Florida Superintendent of the Year, shares how his team has turned high expectations into measurable results for students. Under his leadership, Indian River County has earned four consecutive A district grades, with 23 of its 24 traditional public schools rated A and every district-operated school earning an A or B, and students consistently outperform state averages across the vast majority of academic measures. Dr. Moore will unpack the leadership approach driving this growth: developing strong school leaders, empowering educators, and using data to drive continuous improvement.
