About
Aimee Boyd, PhD, is a Principal Research Scientist at Curriculum Associates where her role includes developing, implementing, and applying psychometric research methods to early literacy and diagnostic assessments. Prior to Curriculum Associates, Dr. Boyd was the lead psychometrician for the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments serving multiple state education agencies and led the Texas assessment programs for grades 3-8 at Pearson from 2009 – 2020. Her role consisted of developing and managing operational and research agendas to support the validity and reliability of state assessment programs to inform policy and technical decisions. Dr. Boyd also worked at ACT from 2003 – 2008 where her expertise in computer-based and computer-adaptive assessments supported the development and implementation of certification and licensure examinations such as the Graduate Management Admission Test. She received her doctorate in Educational Measurement at the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and her master's degree in Program Evaluation at the University of Texas at Austin in 2001.
