Momentum for i-Ready as Districts Invest in Student and Educator Support
NORTH BILLERICA, MA, July 16, 2026As districts across the country prepare for the upcoming school year, several recent developments underscore the continued momentum behind Curriculum Associates and i-Ready as school systems invest in tools that support student outcomes and educator success.
In Albuquerque Public Schools, new data showed progress among targeted groups of sixth grade students using i-Ready, with 21.2% achieving proficiency on the district’s i-Ready assessment—an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the previous school year. Albuquerque Public Schools is seeing encouraging progress in early literacy among some of its highest-need students, but district leaders say middle school math achievement continues to lag behind annual targets.
Among sixth grade students in the targeted groups, 21.2% achieved proficiency on the district's i-Ready assessment, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the previous school year. However, that result fell 1.4 percentage points below the district's interim goal of 22.6%.

Another $129,412.50 contract was for i-Ready, an online assessment tool Rizzo said helps the district meet testing requirements from the Ohio Department of Education.
i-Ready is also one of several tools the district uses for intervention in math and reading for students who need extra support.
“Students are provided adaptive personalized lessons based on the assessments,” Rizzo said. “Our i-Ready subscription also includes Teacher Toolbox, which offers a searchable library of lessons to support whole group or small group instruction.”
Rizzo said the tools are used by both students and staff, providing educators with instructional resources and data about student strengths and areas that need improvement, while giving students extra practice through personalized and adaptive learning.
