Curriculum Associates (CA), an education technology company guided by its core mission to make classrooms better places for all while driving student outcomes, has appointed Kelly Sia as its president. In this role, Sia will oversee sales, service, marketing, educator success, operations, and customer service.
Sia joined CA in 2020 serving as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Prior to joining CA, Sia worked at Procter & Gamble and Iron Mountain, bringing more than two decades of financial and operational leadership to her roles at CA.
“Kelly has been an invaluable addition to our team," said Rob Waldron, CEO of CA. "She embodies the best of the Curriculum Associates spirit—she listens and invests in everyone’s growth, acts with integrity and honesty, and, most of all, is driven by the positive impact that we make on the lives of teachers and students. I'm confident in Curriculum Associates' brighter future under Sia's leadership and am excited to see how she will guide the company in improving education at large.”
Sia led the integration of CA’s recent acquisitions—Mentoring Minds, a leading provider of Grades K–12 instructional and critical-thinking materials, and Ellevation, an English language learning software. She helped build a strong and growing team through mentoring, investing in training programming and resources, and hiring hundreds of employees for her more than 1,300-person team. She also initiated a multiyear tech and process implementation of revamping and modernizing business systems to make it easier for employees to do their work. Since Sia joined, the company’s revenue has doubled.
“As a mother of three and youth basketball coach, I am a firm believer in the positive impact technology can make on education and our children’s lives," said Sia. "It's an honor to wake up every day to lead the Curriculum Associates team in fostering a learning environment that transcends boundaries to equip every child with the skills they need to thrive in today’s ever-evolving world. I look forward to continuing to guide our team in transforming education so we can make the classroom a better place for teachers and students.”
In addition to her leadership at Curriculum Associates, Sia served on her children’s school council, where she helped develop parent engagement and inclusion strategies, has been part of Milton Junior Woman’s Club and spends time mentoring at places like UGA Terry School of Business, and most recently, joined Derby Entrepreneurship Center at Tufts University.
Sia earned her master's from New York University’s Stern School of Business and her bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Tufts University. She is based in Milton, Massachusetts.
