The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) has honored Linda DuBois, vice president of strategic relationships for Curriculum Associates, with its 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award. DuBois was nominated and chosen for this esteemed recognition by the ALAS Board of Directors for her continued impact on the ALAS organization, its members, and the Latino educational community as a whole.
“A passionate warrior for equity, a champion for those most in need, and a servant of great humility are only a few of the fine qualities that epitomize Linda DuBois,” said Eduardo Soto, strategic relationships consultant for Curriculum Associates and the 2017 recipient of the ALAS Lifetime Achievement Award. “Through her work to establish a scholarship for aspiring Latino superintendents to her ongoing support of ALAS and the development of its state affiliates, Linda has been unrelenting in her commitment to ALAS since its founding 17 years ago. She is most deserving of the ALAS Lifetime Achievement Award and I am proud to call her both my colleague and friend.”
DuBois, who joined Curriculum Associates in 2014 as the vice president of strategic relationships, has nearly 40 years of experience in the education industry, including six years as an elementary teacher. At Curriculum Associates, she is instrumental in increasing the company’s presence and partnerships with major educational organizations such as the Council of the Great City Schools and ALAS, as well as with many state-level organizations. While successfully developing and nurturing relationships with leadership teams at both organizations and districts, DuBois continues to be a tireless advocate for Latino educators and students and has been integral in supporting ALAS and its state affiliates.
“I am honored and humbled to be the recipient of 2020 ALAS Lifetime Achievement Award,” said DuBois. “It is truly the highlight of my career. I am grateful to Curriculum Associates for providing support and resources to allow my team to do this important work.”
DuBois was presented the ALAS Lifetime Achievement Award during the virtual ALAS National Annual Education Summit on October 9–10, 2020.
