EY Announces Curriculum Associates' CEO Rob Waldron is Named an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® New England 2016 Finalist

Boston, MA, May 31, 2016

EY announced that Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates, is a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the New England program. The awards program, which is celebrating its 30th year, recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Rob was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 23, 2016 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

Curriculum Associates is an education technology company leading the adoption of print and digital curriculum for more than three million K–12 students across the country. Founded in 1969, Curriculum Associates has always been driven by a simple yet powerful vision: to make classrooms better places for teachers and students. Offering one of the industry's only integrated learning solutions for both diagnostic assessment and instruction, Curriculum Associates' tools and content enable school districts to assess smarter, saving valuable classroom time and increasing student achievement.

Rob Waldron joined Curriculum Associates in 2008, bringing leadership experience from both the for-profit and nonprofit education worlds. Under his tenure as CEO, revenues have quintupled, making Curriculum Associates one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry. Curriculum Associates now employs more than 600 staff and has earned “Top Place to Work” status by both the Boston Business Journal and The Boston Globe.

“While I am honored to be selected for this award among such a distinguished group,” said Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates, “I am also well aware that I am the beneficiary of the great vision of our octogenarian Chairman Frank Ferguson, who has kept the company independent and focused all of us on long-term impact over short-term profitability. I also know this award is a direct reflection of our outstanding team's dedication to making classrooms better places, which has enabled us to create the highest quality products that have been proven to help promote student success.”

Now in its 30th year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 19, 2016. The awards are the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
