With a career spanning 30 years, Georgianna Castellano is a Grades K–5 gifted (AGP) teacher at BC Graham Elementary School and Oak Park Elementary Schools in Tampa, Florida. She is also the science contact/resource at Graham Elementary. Her passion for teaching is a lifelong calling. Her journey began as a preschool and second grade teacher at Smithtown Christian School on Long Island, New York, where she built a strong foundation before moving to Florida in 2001. Since then, Georgianna has taken on the role of science contact (Grades K–2 and Grades K–5) and has supported her colleagues at the site and district levels in achieving both Five Star Award recognition and National Board Teacher Certification. She serves as the Grades K–5 science contact at her school site and works with the district math resource teacher and science coach to ensure her students excel. She holds a B.A. in Child and Family Studies and an M.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut.
