About Megan Tennant

Megan Tennant, a math, science, and technology teacher at Holy Family School in Hicksville, NY, brings a strong foundation in Catholic education and a deep commitment to instructional leadership. Originally from Lindenhurst, she attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary School and St. John the Baptist High School. Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from Saint Mary’s College in 2010, followed by a master’s degree in technology of education from National Louis University while teaching in Chicago. After returning to Long Island in 2013, where she now raises her three sons—Colin, Theodore, and Rory—she joined the Holy Family community in 2016. Megan has taught in Catholic schools for the past 14 years. Since 2020, she has proudly served as the Grade 5 Math Curriculum Lead for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, collaborating weekly with fellow diocesan leaders. Megan’s personal and professional life is grounded in her core values of faith, family, and service. The joy and support she receives from her own family inspire her to cultivate a caring, collaborative environment for all her students.
