About Allison Johnson

Allison Johnson leads the Accessibility, Authenticity, and Belonging team within the Universal Access department at Curriculum Associates. She oversees the implementation of accessibility and accommodation considerations, including Universal Design for Learning and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and ensures authentic representation in print and digital K–12 instructional and assessment resources. Allison brings her personal experience with neurodivergence and disability to her work and serves as an Executive Sponsor of the Employee Resource Group for Employees with Disabilities and Neurodivergent Employees. She previously served as the founding Chair of the Accessibility in Ed Tech Special Interest Group for the Association of Test Publishers and as a member of the W3C working group for Accessibility for Children. Allison has a background in children’s broadcast and interactive media, with an emphasis on ensuring access to content for individuals with disabilities. She holds a B.F.A. in Film and Television from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an M.Ed. in Technology, Innovation, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she focused her studies on Universal Design for Learning and accessibility.
