This policy applies to information we collect on the CA Website. Information collected through use of the offerings on the i-Ready® platform is governed by the i-Ready Platform Data Handling and Privacy Statement.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. By accessing or using the CA Website, you agree to this privacy policy. Children under the Age of 16/Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

The CA Website is not intended for children under 16 years of age. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on the CA Website. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

Information We Collect about You and How We Collect It

We collect several types of information from and about users of the CA Website, including information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access the CA Website, and usage details.

We collect personal information directly from you when you provide it to us. For example, if you chat with ReadyBot, our website’s AI-driven chat service, then we will use that information in support of your specific request and your future service needs.  We may also use this information for sales and marketing purposes. If you provide us with your email address, we may attempt to contact you at that address regarding quote requests. We may also send you periodic emails about our products and our company.

As you navigate through and interact with the CA Website, including through interactions with ReadyBot, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns including, but not limited to, usage details, IP addresses, and other information. We use Google Analytics™ to track and store this information. For more information about Google Analytics, please see the Google Privacy Policy. This information helps us to improve the CA Website and to deliver a better and more informative experience. The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of the CA Website. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to the CA Website. For more information about the cookies used by Curriculum Associates, please visit our Cookie Policy.

Google Analytics™ is a trademarked brand feature of Google, Inc. in the US and/or other countries.

We use third parties (“Service Providers”), including Facebook and NextRoll, in order to better understand our users’ needs and to deliver a better and more informative experience with the CA Website. Our Service Providers help us better understand our users’ experience on the CA Website (e.g., how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click on, etc.), including, in some cases, by providing users with interest-based advertising. These Service Providers may use or receive cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to collect and evaluate data on our users’ behavior and their devices. Service Providers may also capture or receive browser information, advertising data, and location data (not precise coordinates -- country, state, city and zip/postal code level only). CA and our Service Providers do not use this information to identify individual users. Our Service Providers may create and use de-identified, aggregated, non-personally identifiable information derived from such content and data for purposes of improving their services, and for benchmarking and reporting purposes. For further details about how Facebook and NextRoll may use information collected through your use of the CA Website, please review the respective privacy policies of Facebook and NextRoll. Note that our Service Providers are used in support of the CA Corporate Website only. They are not used in i-Ready.

In addition, if you submit your email address to CA through a form connected to region- or product-specific marketing campaigns on our website or through the ReadyBot, a pseudonymized hash of your email address may be generated in order to serve targeted advertising to other devices connected to you (via cross-device tracking). CA will provide a notice on our website next to any such form or within the ReadyBot interface if your email address will be processed by Service Providers in this manner.

You can decline to have personal data collected via third-party tracking technologies by navigating to the settings feature in your browser and declining third party cookies or declining third party cookies from specific sites, or, for mobile, limiting ad tracking or resetting the advertiser identifier via the privacy settings on your mobile device. Our partners, such as NextRoll and Facebook, may use non-cookie technologies that may not be impacted by browser settings that block cookies. Your browser may not permit you to block such technologies. As such, for more information on how to opt-out from receiving interest-based advertising (including ads served using non-cookie technologies), please visit the NAI website opt-out page here: http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and the DAA opt-out page here: http://www.aboutads.info/.
