Nevada QRIS Child Care Screener

Background Information

2021–2022 Implementation

The BRIGANCE Early Childhood Screens III will be added into all models as a required criterion. Programs rated after July 1, 2018 will have to meet this criterion. Timeline for Screening: As per child care licensing requirements, screenings should be completed within three months after a child enrolls in the facility and repeated biannually thereafter to monitor and support the learning and development of each child enrolled in the facility. QRIS will only look at children screened and not screened as of one year prior to the date the Application to Be Assessed is received.

Online Management System (OMS)

The BRIGANCE Online Management System (OMS) is required for Child Care. Each child's screening data is entered into the OMS and scores are calculated. The OMS also provides access to materials from the BRIGANCE Readiness Activities for teachers to use in the classroom and to send home to families. Log in to the OMS.

OMS Program Information Sheet

For a program to be set up with access to the OMS, the program administrator must complete the OMS Program Information Sheet.

Access the video below that includes an introduction to the OMS as well as directions for adding users and students, adding screening data, running reports, and accessing resources:
