Our courses address a set of common learning outcomes, while our Tailored Support sessions deliver targeted outcomes specific to your needs. These sessions may be delivered virtually or in person.

Getting Good Data with i-Ready

Educators understand i-Ready’s potential for student growth and plan for a successful first year of implementation.

Getting Good Data with i-Ready is the integral first step for educators to begin implementing i-Ready and building a classroom data culture with their students. After taking the i-Ready Diagnostic themselves, educators learn how to administer the Diagnostic for reliable student data and why that unlocks the power of the Diagnostic to drive instruction. As time permits, educators further explore i-Ready Personalized Instruction and i-Ready growth measures.

Outcomes

Motivate and prepare students to do their best on the Diagnostic in order to get reliable data to drive instruction.

Format

The recommended length for this centrally delivered course is three hours, but we work within the flexibility of up to six hours to meet your needs. Computer and web access are strongly recommended. This session may be delivered virtually or in person.

Using Data to Plan Instruction

Educators analyze their own i-Ready data to create instructional plans that help students access grade-level instruction.

Using Data to Plan Instruction guides educators to use effective data practices to analyze their own students’ data from the first Diagnostic. Utilizing a data analysis process, educators uncover new insights and information about student performance to build on strengths and plan instructional scaffolds to maximize access to grade-level content. As time permits, educators explore critical steps for monitoring and managing Personalized Instruction and/or how to engage students through data chats.

Outcomes

Analyze and use data to strategically plan next steps for whole class instruction.

Data-Driven Leadership Best Practices I

Prepare to successfully lead an i-Ready implementation.

Data-Driven Leadership Best Practices I helps leaders establish effective implementation strategies and foundations that unlock i-Ready’s potential to drive student growth. Leaders who are new to i-Ready engage in hands-on exploration of the most important reports and features for administrators. This prepares leaders to use i-Ready for data-driven decision-making and instructional planning. As time permits, educators discuss the Top Leader Actions for successful assessment, instruction, and student engagement and develop communication plans that support a strong i-Ready rollout.

Outcomes

  • Use the i-Ready administrator application and key reports in data-driven decision-making and instructional planning.
  • Use tested strategies to launch a successful school-level i-Ready implementation.
  • Develop and execute a school-level communication plan to share the purpose and priorities for the first year of i-Ready use.

Delivering Differentiated Instruction

Educators connect data to action by making effective decisions for differentiated instruction that drives student growth.

During Delivering Differentiated Instruction, educators analyze their Diagnostic data to create small groups based on instructional priorities. Using corresponding i-Ready resources, they create actionable plans for either grade-level instruction, intervention, and/or enrichment. As time permits, educators plan to provide additional teacher-led support if students struggle to achieve their Personalized Instruction goals and/or how to engage students in tracking their data.

Outcomes

Analyze i-Ready data to determine small group instructional priorities, and plan differentiated instruction using i-Ready resources.

Helping All Learners Succeed

Educators use data in a continuous feedback process to accelerate student growth.

Helping All Learners Succeed engages educators in analyzing and responding to their students’ growth after the second i-Ready Diagnostic to strengthen their data culture and practices. Educators use a data analysis process to analyze growth and proficiency data to answer key questions, determine priorities, and outline next steps. As time permits, educators explore ways to strategically use Personalized Instruction and/or use i-Ready data to inform small group instruction.

Data-Driven Leadership Best Practices II

Use data to effect change in your school.

Data-Driven Leadership Best Practices II prepares leaders who have used i-Ready for at least one year to use their data to effect change within their schools. Leaders focus on data analysis to target instructional needs and support teachers in planning and delivering differentiated instruction. As time permits, leaders collaborate on their schoolwide implementation and use of the Top Leader Actions to build on prior years’ successes. Topics can include:

  • Purposeful use of data to foster a data culture through team planning
  • Transparent data sharing with stakeholders to address student growth and proficiency

Outcomes

  • Use i-Ready data to identify and prioritize instructional needs.
  • Reflect on previous-year implementation and current student goals to build a plan for strengthening i-Ready implementation.
  • Support schoolwide use of new i-Ready features and enhancements.

Data-Driven Leadership Best Practices III

Build and diversify strategies for engagement and bolstering student growth.

Data-Driven Leadership Best Practices III offers leaders who are already experienced managers of effective i-Ready implementations options to explore multiple ways of analyzing and using data, deepening data culture, and strengthening their implementation to increase student growth. Leaders reflect on their use of the Top Leader Actions and actively monitor progress and adjust their implementation to advance their goals. As time permits, leaders delve into elective topics, including but not limited to:

  • Promoting shared responsibility for student outcomes
  • Empowering students as agents of their own learning
  • Reviewing and deepening the use of the Top Teacher Actions to further support educators’ development as data practitioners and facilitators of differentiated instruction

Outcomes

  • Refine i-Ready implementation plans in response to student data to further progress toward district/school proficiency and growth goals.
  • Deepen data culture and shared responsibility for student growth within the school community.
  • Strengthen the use of i-Ready data and instructional resources to meet the goals and needs of each schoolwide implementation.
  • Support schoolwide use of new i-Ready features and enhancements.
