Third-party review of the online reading and mathematics program identifies how i‑Ready represents the components of the English Language Development Standards and WIDA Standards Framework for EL students in Grades K–8

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., June 13, 2018—Curriculum Associates’ i‑Ready Instruction for Grades K–8 recently met all correlation criteria for the WIDA PRIME V2 Protocol for Review of Instructional Materials for ELLs (PRIME V2). The PRIME V2 offers educators a methodology to determine how instructional materials are correlated to the WIDA Standards Framework, connected to English and Spanish Language Development Standards, and relevant for both US domestic and international audiences to meet the academic needs of English Language Learners (ELLs). New Efficacy Research Demonstrates Curriculum Associates’ Ready® Meets Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Federal Funding Requirements, Including School Improvement Funds

Schools can use Title I funding to implement evidence-based curriculum to support student achievement

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., June 12, 2018—A new research study titled “Ready Efficacy: Research on Ready Program Impact” demonstrates that Curriculum Associates’ Ready Mathematics and Ready Reading instruction for Grades 3–8 meets the federal funding requirements for the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Given this research, Ready qualifies as a Level 3 program demonstrating “Promising Evidence,” and schools nationwide can use Title I or school improvement funding to implement the curriculum as an evidence-based program as defined by ESSA. Most importantly, research confirms that students who have access to Ready instruction outperform their peers on state summative English language arts and mathematics assessments. More
