EY Announces Curriculum Associates' CEO Rob Waldron as EY Entrepreneur of the Year® 2016 Big Data Award Winner in New England

2016 marks ‘30 years of ingenuity in America’

Boston, MA, June 23, 2016

EY today announced that Curriculum Associates CEO Rob Waldron has received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year® 2016 Award in the Big Data category in New England. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award program, which recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Waldron was selected by an independent panel of judges; the award was presented at a special gala event at the Marriott Copley Place on June 23, 2016.

“It is a great honor to be selected for this award among such a distinguished group,” said Waldron. “This achievement is a direct result of our team putting mission first, creating the highest quality products to make classrooms better places.”

Curriculum Associates is an education technology company leading the adoption of print and digital curriculum for more than three million K–12 students across the country. Offering one of the industry's only integrated learning solutions for both diagnostic assessment and instruction, Curriculum Associates' tools and content are research-based and classroom-proven effective.

Since 1986, EY has honored entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, spirit of innovation, and discipline have propelled their companies' success, invigorated their industries, and benefited their communities. Now in its 30th year, the program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as Howard Schultz of Starbucks Corp., Robert Unanue of Goya Foods, Inc., and Mindy Grossman of HSN, Inc. Recent national winners include Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn Corp.; Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani LLC; and 2015 winners Andreas Bechtolsheim and Jayshree Ullal of Arista Networks, Inc.

As a New England award-winner, Waldron is now eligible for the Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 national program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur of the Year National Overall Award recipient, will be announced at the Entrepreneur of the Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 19, 2016. The awards are the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum™, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies. The U.S. Entrepreneur of the Year Overall Award recipient then moves on to compete for the World Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Monaco in June 2017.
