This person will be a key strategic leader in the company service organization, and will report to the Vice President, Digital Products. The Director of Technical Support and Sales Engineering responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support.
  • Manage a team of five Support staff—three Tier 1, two Tier 2.
  • Provide solid technical assistance, including networking, firewall, and security troubleshooting with customers.
  • Provide guidance/training to key customers in the use of all CA online products.

Proposal Associate

Reading/Language Arts Editorial Director

We are seeking an innovative and creative Editorial Director to manage the creation of new K–8 supplemental reading/language arts products. The Editorial Director will lead ongoing editorial projects and new product development efforts. Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
  • Work with the leadership team to conceptualize new products; actively participate in product planning and long term strategy meetings
  • Supervise and mentor an editorial staff of 3–5. Convey to staff a sense of vision and direction by establishing clear, realistic goals and action plans

Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly qualified Software Engineer with experience in Java web development for a SaaS environment. The Software Engineer will work on the i-Ready engineering team and will be responsible for contributing to application design, architecture, and development within an Agile software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Design and develop new product features for multi-tenant, SaaS products.
  • Work closely with CA resources developing in a J2EE environment using popular open-source frameworks such as Apache, Tomcat, Hibernate, and Spring along with a broad set of Amazon web services (AWS).
  • Work effectively as part of an Agile team.
  • Develop automated unit tests and integration tests for your code, as well as review the code of others to ensure quality.
  • Bring new and innovative solutions to the table to resolve challenging software issues as they may develop throughout the product life cycle.

Skills and Qualifications

    Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a record of achievement:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 2–5 years' experience designing and developing java-based web applications using J2EE or open-source java frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL development with demonstrated experience with MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server databases is required.
  • Strong core knowledge of java development with demonstrated experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG and mocking frameworks such as Mockito or EasyMock.
  • Experience with Hibernate or other ORM framework is preferred.
  • Experience with Spring or other IoC and MVC framework is preferred.
  • Experience with HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, and other web technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with SaaS products preferred.
  • Experience working with the Agile with Scrum methodology.

Responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will manage complex software development, architecture, and integration projects in a fast paced, constantly changing Agile environment
  • Responsible for effectively planning, scheduling, and estimating the delivery of all activities for new products and features
  • Function as Iteration Manager (Agile) and direct daily activities for project team
  • Oversee the day-to-day progress of project(s) and release initiatives with regard to time, capacity, scope and quality
  • Provide leadership, direction and integrate activities across departments to ensure successful implementation and support
  • Track budget and expenses for both internal resources as well as external partners

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience delivering SaaS-based projects—backend to front end
  • Prior experience in large scale web development
  • Prior experience in an SaaS business
  • Good understanding of technical web environment and code release life cycle
  • Solid experience in working with business and technology stakeholders with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving via technology solutions
  • Solid project management skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in cross-functional environment
  • Technical management experience in a dynamic high-technology environment is preferred
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Ability to communicate needs and schedules to business stakeholders and technology teams, as well as ensure plans are in place/standards are adhered to
  • Agile and Scrum experience

Technical Support Engineer

Our accomplished Technical Support team is one of the best in the industry, which gives us a competitive advantage. We look for the elite in Technical Support candidates. The hours for this role are 10:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Responsibilities

The Technical Support Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide technical assistance, guidance and training to customers by performing the following duties:

  • Customer support and technical issue resolution via email, phone, LiveChat, and other electronic media
  • Guidance/training to customers in the use of all Curriculum Associates' online products
  • Troubleshooting issue reports and identify causes and resolution and/or workarounds
  • Becoming proficient in all Curriculum Associates' online products
  • Escalating technical and/or application issues when necessary
  • Creating and updating procedures and technical documents
  • Working closely with Account Managers and Sales Representatives to solve customer issues

Skills and Qualifications:

Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a record of achievement. Qualifications include:

  • Able to promptly and courteously answer support-related email, phone calls, LiveChat and other electronic communications from our customers
  • Superior phone etiquette and verbal skills are a must
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and well organized
  • Ability to learn new web applications quickly
  • 3 or more years of experience in a Technical Software support or Customer Service function
  • Knowledge in internet applications including different web browsers
  • Knowledge of networking, firewall systems, content filtering setups and how they work
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving capability and ability to develop creative solutions
