Quality Assurance Associate
The Quality Assurance (QA) Associate drives the execution of tests that support Curriculum Associates' internally developed suite of software applications. The QA Associate develops test plans and test designs, including test execution and test verification via both manual and automated processes. These processes apply to customer-facing as well as internal systems, and include documentation, testing, user acceptance, and post-go-live troubleshooting of application defects and issues.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Contributing to our defined end-to-end QA strategy across the SDLC to ensure all applications are held to the highest standards of quality upon release into production.
- Testing software at various points throughout the iterative development process to ensure that all defects are identified, well-explained, corrected, and verified prior to release to users, including manual testing and automated testing.
- Documenting all software defects in standard bug-tracking application. Helping to guide developers, users, managers, and other staff in good documentation procedures around defect tracking.
- Assisting support staff in troubleshooting issues with existing applications as they arise. Testing and retesting solutions to ensure timely and quality response to user issues.
- Working with software development team to strengthen their ability to continually test code through the development process.
- Working with other QA team members, members of the technical implementation team, internal business users and managers, technology project managers and external vendors and contractors.
Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a record of achievement.
- Experience in testing web-based customer-facing products, particularly in the educational materials industry, a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or education preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills—both technical and business.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills a must.
- Ability to develop solid test scripts/cases from product business requirements.

Accounts Receivable Specialist
Responsibilities
The Accounts Receivable Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Communicating directly with customers via phone, email, and letters regarding overdue payments
- Documenting results of correspondence with customers in the collection system
- Researching outstanding balances on customer accounts. This includes but is not limited to researching customer payments, writing off uncollectible balances, and preparing customer refunds to clean up customer accounts.
- Researching unapplied credit balances on customer accounts and applying to proper invoice
- Generating and mailing reminder letters to customers with outstanding balances greater than 30 days
- Recording cash receipts and charging credit card payments to customer accounts
- Preparing bank deposit slips and entering cash receipts in the general ledger
- Assisting in special projects
Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a record of achievement. Strong candidates for the Accounts Receivable Specialist role should exhibit:
- Strong verbal, writing and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Experience with General Ledger and collection systems (Great Plains) is preferred but not required
- 1–3 years experience in accounts receivable, collections, and/or customer service is desired
